Check out items by class

Select Circulation > Check Out Items

note When checking out to an active patron, if a message about licensing appears, you do not have the correct site licensing according to your agreement.

To permanently assign an item by class, Follett recommends updating the Home Location on record using either Update Resources or Edit Item in the Catalog.

Checkouts

Checkouts do the following:

• Honor the due date assigned in the by class date range loan period type.
• Allow textbooks that use the textbook template to be checked out for any of the existing Resource Manager loan period types.

NOTE When digital resources with redemption codes are checked out, the redemption code appears in the student's My Info.

If class schedules have been loaded, use that data to load patron records for checkout by means of the Check Out By Class option.

To check out using the By Class subtab:

1. Go to Circulation > Check Out Items > By Class.
2. In the Find box, enter the teacher's name, or scan the teacher’s barcode.
3. From the Class drop-down, select the appropriate class section.
   
4. Do one of the following:
   • In the Find box, enter or scan the student’s barcode.
   • Click Class List to select the appropriate student from the list.
     

5. In the Find box, enter or scan the barcodes of items being circulated.
